Welcome to Citizenshare Publishing House ("Citizenshare," "we," "us"). By using citizenshare.com (the "Site"), taking our assessment, or receiving our readings and correspondence, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Educational Nature of Our Content
Citizenshare provides literary and educational content — including the Distance Reading, essays, coaching, and clinician-reviewed insights — developed with a U.S.-trained clinician. Our services are relational skill-building, not psychotherapy, counseling, diagnosis, or medical treatment. No clinician–patient relationship is created, and nothing here substitutes for care from a mental health professional. Many readers use Citizenshare alongside their own professional care. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911.
Eligibility
The Site and its offerings are intended for adults. Your participation certifies that you are 18 years of age or older.
Intellectual Property
All content on the Site — including Miriam’s Scarlet Season, the Almada Papers, the Distance Reading, essays, images, and branding — is the property of Citizenshare Publishing House and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Your Submissions
When you submit assessment answers, questions, or messages, you grant us the right to use them to prepare your readings and respond to you. We may draw on anonymized, de-identified themes from submissions to improve our content; we will never publish your personal story in an identifiable way without your consent.
SMS Correspondence
By providing your mobile number and consent, you agree to receive text messages from the Clinician’s Desk. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
Purchases and Subscriptions
The 4-Minute Assessment and your first Distance Reading are complimentary. No purchase or payment information is required to receive them. Continuing programs are offered on a monthly or annual basis; program pricing is disclosed in full before enrollment, and no charge is made without your express consent. Subscriptions renew automatically at the stated interval until cancelled. You may cancel at any time by emailing mail@citizenshare.com; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no further charges will be made. New enrollments are covered by a 30-day refund policy: if you request a refund within 30 days of your first program payment by emailing mail@citizenshare.com, that payment will be refunded in full.
No Guarantees
Relationships are complex, and outcomes depend on many factors beyond any reading or coaching. We make no promises regarding reconciliation or any particular relational outcome.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Citizenshare shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or its content.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version. Continued use of the Site constitutes acceptance.
